ZEX Vs Nitrous Outlet Vs Nitrous Express

I am getting ready to purchase a NOS kit for my car and am looking for any advice or recommendations on the brand to go with. They are all comparable in cost with ZEX being the cheapest through Dyno Steve by a little bit. Is anyone currently running the ZEX system?

Nitrous Outlet has the biggest selection of products but I have been disappointed with the quality, fitment, function, ect. of some of their products. I can't comment on Nitrous Express, haven't used enough of their products. Zex is generally deemed to be of lower quality than the others. If I were to go back now and do it over again Nitorus Express would most likely be my choice.

What Joseph said. Zex is low cost, budget and wouldn't touch them. N2O outlet has best service/support and 95% of their parts are wonderful, with a few of them needing some work. Their solenoid, bottles, lines etc are all great though so no worries.

NX has always been decent.

I would contact the shop of your choice and get a package and really put it together. A good n2o setup can easily be $1500-2500 if done correctly.

I use NX no issues, only issues I have had has been with my LPE timing retard box that sometimes continues to pull timing even when switched off.

Nitrous is something you don't want to go cheap on. Make sure you look at what comes in the kit and the supporting parts that you need to add-on. I have no knowledge of NX or nex but know that you will need additional stuff for any of the three

Thanks everyone, I am going to go with Nitrous Outlet. I plan on running a 150 shot. How many passes will that get me at a 1/4 mile track?

You should get about 4 full passes and 4 purges with a 10lb bottle.

If you're still on the stock clutch you must change it to a better unit. It doesn't love a 150 shot and will completely hate a 200 shot. Also you will need a good tire. A 20 inch radial won't get it done. I am on a 295/17 ET street and it hates second gear even with a progressive controller.

Have installed both NO and NX plate kits and hands down NX kit is better made, designed and easier to install. Both will get the job done though

I was going with NOS being it was a cheaper setup than a supercharger or turbo setup. If I need a new clutch to run NOS then its not going to be any cheaper.

You're going to need a clutch eventually no matter what you do to make more power. My stock clutch held up good for a while just didn't like getting slipped while launching at the track

My car hooks on a 20 roll with 20" drag radials on a 150 shot no problem.
