Transmission won't shift

Bought a brand new 2011 ss/RS manual. Car has only 500 miles on it. Check engine light is on and won't let me shift into 2nd 3rd or 5th. Code says transmission lock low. This will be my 2nd time back to dealer with the same problem in less than 2 days. I told them 3rd time back will be my last time. Any ideas on what is going on?

Call GM customer service. They will get you taken care of. I remember my first 94 would have water coming in around drivers window. Took it to dealer twice they could not fix it so GM customer service had them give me a new car.

Its probably something with the CAGS system where is forces a 1-4 shift under light load. Did you read up on that? Its in the manual. Are you trying to force it when the 1-4 shift comes up in the DIC? Its totally normal. Now if the CEL is on, obviously thats not normal.

I am guessing an issue with that system. Don't get frustrated so easy, they'll fix it.

I understand about cages system. The cel stays on and I can't shift into 2nd 3rd and 5th. Last night it would come and go. The cel is on but it would let me shift in all gears. Then about ten minutes later it would lock out the same gears again.

I hope they can fix this. I really love this car. It is the only car I have ever owned that puts a smile on face every time I drive it.

Great news fixed today. They found a wire chaffing on passenger side ignition coil bracket. Causing a short to ground. Cars runs great.
