OnStar SUCKS

So apparently they can not get a signal on my car. I tested and verified that the car was capable of sending a signal from the parking deck before leaving town.

I attempt to call OnStar to end out about this... they won;t release the location of the vehicle unless law enforcement says that I'm missing... I'M F'N CALLING YOU, or the car is deemed stolen.... WTF?

THis is just f'n dumb! Hell, just tell me that the car is still where I f'n left it... MY HOME ADDRESS! I see OnStar is only good for scaring people with their tasteless ads and half ass service.

Vent over. Hopefully my car is still where I left it.

I don't use ONSTAR, but it's not to be used as a car babysitting service.

As you stated, you don't use On-Star... stick to what you do know.

And verifying my mileage is well within the use of the program.

I have the app on my iPhone, the damn thing won't connect to the car. If I call the car, right to a Verizon message.

I did not yell at the OnStar rep, they are just following their orders. But thats just dumb, I get it, but if I park it at my home address, no signal from the damn thing... yet you can see where it is... just tell me if its at home during this "disconnected" state.

you need to pay extra for their "location" service that allows you to track your car. I saw an article about it posted here before. It may not be available on all cars either.

here's an article: http://www.autoweek.com/article/2011...NEWS/110809993

Not sure what you are talking about in regards to mileage, but your post reads like you want them to tell you that your car is still where you left it at. That's what my reply was about- looks like ONSTAR agrees (And I don't even have their service).

LOJACK does what you are talking about. Not ONSTAR.

Why post something if you don't want any comments about it? Have a nice day.

Did you take it to the shop at a Chevrolet dealer? You sound like an angry person.

I'm very ANGRY! SERENITY NOW!!!!!!!!

But seriously, I'm not angry, just disappointed in the service. If my car goes offline, yet you can get a location on it... how can I determine that it was stolen if I'm not in town with it? As Raven stated, lojack, very true.

But, if I pay for your service, and you can't connect to the vehicle, yet you can determine if it is at my home address... a small bit of information can go a long way. If its not at home, damn, I need to get the stolen vehicle process underway. If it is, cool, i'll check the signal in a few days. Likely a signal issue, I'll take it in when I get back in town.

More like OnBoard than OnStar.
