120kph speed warning!

Hi everyone...I'm a 2SS owner in Abu Dhabi. Love the car...the only thing that's a pain is the Driver Information screen in the dash being permanently blanked out with the speed warning when you exceed 120kph. Any one know of somewhere in UAE that can disable it?

Cheers,
J.

It goes back to normal after a few seconds and you can adjust the speed warning to a lower or higher speed. I have mine set at 95 mph I beleive. Try 4-30 of the manual.

Hi Eddie - thanks for the answer, but being from the States...this is a problem you guys don't have! In UAE, there's a overspeed warning on all cars by law, that you can't switch off using the controls in the car...the thing you're talking about controlled by the left stalk is also there, but it's separate. This thing I'm talking about needs to be coded out of the system...and I was hoping someone might be able to tell me they'd done it using a diablosport predator, for example. Or found a friendly dealer who's willing to do it...my dealer (Al Ghandi) isn't!!

Cheers,
J.

The same thing happened to me here in Oman. I tried to switch the warnning off and it didnt.

I tried to change the warning limit from 120KM to 200KM, but it still warns me at 120KM !!

It seems that the computer is set according to the Gulf standards and it is fixed on 120KM no matter what you do.

Send a message via MSN to HzMajesty
when it comes up push the "set" button and it should go back to the digital speed display (or anything else you have)

Hi Hz...will give that a go, thanks...but would still rather it didn't do it at all, or came up and then went away after a few seconds!!

Cheers,
J.
