Uber rich guy sold me his wheels.. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I was feeling froggy last night and decided to take a look at craigslist for some cheap SS wheels to hold me over until I get some nicer ones. Was wierd because I was sitting here reading the news and the thought just hit me.."Hey.. check craigslist!" So i did. I saw a post that had been posted back on the 22nd and figured, no way this guy still has these wheels.. but no harm in checking.

Well he had the wheels still, no tires, but i was ok with that since he only wanted $300. Told him I can stop by and hand him cash so we exchanged numbers etc and he gave me his address so I could take a look at them. The wheels are flawless. Says he drove the car off the lot, to the tire shop, put new wheels on, and drove home. Put on some nice TSW's by the way..

Anyways, his address is for Rancho Santa Fe.. and if you know the area, its a VERY nice place to live, if you can afford it. I figure i'll buy a small shanty up there if I ever win the lottery.. So my wife and I drive up there, shes in total shock at these houses, we just so happen to drive right past her old bosses house(owns a very high end furniture company and worth millions..) he has a nice house! And so we turn on to this guys street and pull up to his armed sentried driveway to find that this dude lives in like a $30million dollar house, which makes my wifes old bosses house look like a pig pen, and he spent $9mill on his... Back yard is a fricken golf course!

The guy is cool as hell, very nice, and dresses like he shops at wal-mart.. haha. Awesome guy though. I almost crapped myself when he opened his garage doors, which seems like a house in itself.., to find some kind of Cadillac SUV I've never seen before, a brand new Maserati GranTurismo S MC Sport Line, and a Porsche Panamera.

He also happens to be a proud owner of a 2010 CGM Camaro SS HPE600, which unfortunately wasnt at the house at the time, his son borrowed it to go to college in Pennsylvania. That was the only downer, would have loved to have seen it.

So anyways, theres my story about my exciting weekend.

The wheels are just the 20's midnight silver. He asked me if I wanted a car cover, but it's not an outdoor cover. I don't see a need for an indoor only dust cover when my car is my DD.

I live close to that area, and yes its the most expensive place in the US to live.. I googled it, its crazy.. I love driving my Camaro around that area they have some nice windy roads and its really nice. Must be nice to be rich...
