Hp tuning my 2012 2SS...

I have a buddy of mine going to be using HP tuner to tune my 2012 2SS this weekend and I'm wondering if you guys have some pointers or things to look out for with the tune. My car is a manual trans LS3 and I'm gonna install a Fastline Pipeline intake. Obviously I'm looking to draw some power out of the intake while still maintaining my fuel mileage and reliability. Just curious of anything percular about these cars that maybe he hasn't encountered on other GM vehicles?

Don't let an amateur do it.

Camaro Corvette performance tuner in Tampa

Save two copies of your original stock configuration on two differant drivers in case one crashed.

Scan the car first on a nice drive before you make changes to your stock configuration so you can determine if your changes went in the right direction, and if there is an issue to address during the tuning process.

The HP Tuners scanner is your best friend. Dont drown knock retard with fuel like most guys do. Get your fueling AFR right, then when your scanner tells you you KR, start taking out 1 or 2 degrees at a time a couple cells before if comes on and just after it comes on. If it comes back, repeat the process. In your stock configuration, expect to see 4-8 degrees of KR at WOT.

If you take out more than 5 degrees of spark in a specific area and the KR is still in the same spot and about the same amount, you may have something rattling under the car near the same frequency of the Knock Sensors. ( that will drive you crazy)

When all else fails, I do mail order tunes for $150.00 with HP Tuners
