2015 Camaro SS's & how to get best price possible
I've seen a lot of posts over time where guys have made out like bandit's on pricing of their new Camaro's. I'm probably trading my 2010 in the spring early summer for a 2015 to get one of the last 5th gens new. Are any of the dealers here offering better than most pricing? Are there certain bargaining tools that should be considered? I'm thinking about ordering the car so it has exactly what I want in it, unless I'm better off holding out for certain incentives til mid-late summer.

In my experience, ordering a car exactly the way you want will leave little to no wiggle room on negotiating a great deal. You would be far better off shopping around until you find one with the options that you want.
Bargaining tools to consider: -Trading in a car can allow you to forgo taxes on the new car, so this can make sense even though trade in value is significantly lower than private party value. (You already said that you're considering doing this.) -Walk away after negotiating them down to their "best" deal, they will call you back with an even better one. Be patient. -Consider traveling to buy one, deals can be very different depending on location. -Like you said, waiting for the right deals and incentives can save you a lot of cash. I'm still kicking myself for missing the 20% off sale.

I am wondering the same. If I don't get a 2015, I will probably wait for a 2017, since I don't like the idea of getting the first year of a new model. How/when do we get the best price on a 2015? |

I've found that the best bet is to find the guy who has had a car in inventory a long time and go directly to him to get the best deal.
No dealer trading involved. If you feel you should go to one specific dealer or salesman, chances are you are giving up $$ to do so . You pay for this "service". Do it yourself using the internet and a phone. If you order one, you wont get that much of a break. Keep looking. A car like you want to order has been probably sitting on someones lot for six months unsold Yeah, the 20% off sale pretty much set the pricing bar. Pretty low. Take your time if your are looking for a deal. |

Some good info guys, thank you! Only thing that may work against me is that I will be after a 1SS specifically in Blue Velvet Metallic, considering most SS's dealers stock are 2SS's. Don't know how hard it is to buy out of state but something I will look at. To get the exact car.
