Exclamation 2011 Camaro Convertible officially confirmed for 2nd Quarter 2011

As reported on homepage.

Although we didn't get to see a production Camaro convertible at this morning's GM live webcast as we had hoped, GM has in the follow-up session officially confirmed that the production of the 2011 Camaro convertible will begin in the second quarter of 2011! This is slightly later than the previously estimated Q1 production date, but we'll take it!

This confirmation and announcement by GM comes to us via the special GM press conference/event held this morning in Detroit, the first part of which was a live webcast which focused mostly on the upcoming Chevrolet Volt.

If the production begins 2Q11, when will they begin accepting orders?

I may be wrong but is that roughly 2 years from now? Then a similar wait time or delay that you had for the coup, were looking at 2 to 2 1/2 years and their is nothing that says that they won't delay it more. I for one am glad i dint wait. I'll guess I'll get the vert when the car is redesigned 5 or so years from now. At the very least we should have some spy photos of he redesigned vert before they stop making this version and will be able to choose what we like more.
