Not sure if it matters, but I bought lined hose clamps - they have an extra long metal tongue on the inside so that when you crank them down they do not shred the hose. I posted part number earlier, but you can buy them many places I bet.

I saw that post and am trying that route next. Thanks

A quad tip setup will go on next so I have 50% less surface area to melt since they don't have a bottom. Or at least thats the excuse I'm using.
Without pictures, it didn't happen.

Good thing digital cameras didn't exist yet when I was growing up or else I'd be in jail for all the stuff I didn't do. No pics taken of it yet.

So the DTC-30's left a fair amount of pad deposits on a slow/cold track day driving at about 60%, pretty disappointed. Finishing the duct install this week finally to help with temps.

And here's my "cool" ventilated diffuser.

I tried the DTC-30 and they were terrible. Wrong pad for track use.

Now I run Cobalt Friction XR2/XR4 and they are awesome.

Yeah I bought them a year ago before I deployed, at that point there were a few ppl claiming success with them. Apparently they drove slow...? I dunno, but they suck. I don't understand how JDP says they work so well for them. I'll probably do XR1/XR3. Not sure if I can get another track day out of these, there's enough pad material but I don't trust them at all. It'll cost me more in the long run if they ruin my rotors and I kept cringing at the end of the straight hoping they wouldn't crap out on me.

Aside from the XR CF pads, the OEM CTS-V pads worked quite well with the CTS-V six pots. What I am not sure of is if the ZL1 six pot pads are the same compound as the CTS-V. My guess is they are and will perform better than many after market pads.

Confirm
CTS-V and ZL1 factory pads are the same part numbers. Don't have it right now but will post if needed.

EDIT
Front pads GM 25940447

Agreed. I am going with the stock CTS-V / ZL1 pads to start and then go form there.
