Are you worried about getting "tired" of your Camaro?
With my budget, it looks like I'm going to have to finance for about 60 months (5 years). I REALLY want this car, and I think it will be good because it will be paid off by the time I graduate college and I could always sell it then.
But my Dad says that I will get tired of this car, and that it's not worth getting at all. So for those of you who are financing, or even just buying the car in general, do you worry that you will get tired of your Camaro? How long do you plan on keeping it? EDIT: By the way, I don't know why I voted 4-6 years on the poll. I don't think I'll ever get tired of this car. |

You will NEVER tire of a legend!!
When I got my Magnum, I couldnt keep my hands off it, I just LOVED driving it!! Four years later.... I STILL feel the same way, still get the stares!! I never tired of it. The Camaro is an even more gorgeous car than the Magnum, in every way (Sorry Magnum but I will ALWAYS love you), so I really cant see it happening for me to tire of it!

I got tired of my car 07 Civic Si after a year or so. (I always loved civics wishing I could buy the late 90's early 2000 si's before they created that hideous hatcback one) But maybe I got tired of it because I purchased my first sportbike about a year after i purchased my car and the bike got my attention all last summer. Now I am kinda starting to dread trading my little civic in since it was my very first brand new car picked out exactly the way i wanted it. I know however I will 100% not get tired of my camaro ever and I also know I will be keeping it forever unless they make a Z28 and I trade which isn't likely and might not even be likely if they do ever make one. I have really been enjoying the last few months with my civic in anticipation of getting rid of it in the months to come.

I usually get "bored" of a car after about 2 years, and usually want to upgrade to get whatever is new and better. This one, I've been wanting so long... I don't know that I will be getting rid of it any time soon. The only reason I would sell it is to upgrade to a newer, better version... but I think I'm gonna be pretty satisfied with what I have for now.

I said more than 10 because of the "might wreck it" factor. But if I was SURE it would survive FOEVEREANDEVER.. then I would have voted as such. I'm not going to make the same mistake my dad made when he sold his Z28 for "the kids."
A small child can fit back there, and why not? Might as well give the kids a rush in the back seat of Dad's Camaro while they're young enough to still fit back there. XD |

LOL!!
Seriously though, I would ever get rid of it. It'll be paid off before it ever needs any major repair work, so by that time if a newer better Camaro comes out, I'll just get that one too. But this one is more than just a car, more than just a Camaro, it is the culmination of a very long dream, so it's especially sentimental to me.

I get tired of everything, so if you do not want to keep it, you sell it and pay off the loan and you are done. You may loose a few grand, no different than a weekend in Vegas!
I can tell you since I only drive my SKY in the good months up here in NY, I have still not gotten sick of it after 2 and 1/2 years......and that is a record for me!

to the op.- I doubt that you would get tired of it. I voted forever but the only reason i would get rid of it would be to trade in on a Z28 if then. |

I voted FOREVER!
If you were to ask me this about a truck I would say 7-10 years b/c of what I'm driving now, but................this will be the first car, and the first Hot Rod I've ever owned so this baby will be with me until there is no me..........and then I hope to pass it on to my daughter. This will be an interesting poll and thanks to the author! Judging just by the prelim. results, it seems that true enthusiasts rule................and I hope to join the ranks......................soon!

The Camaro's not exactly a normal car...I doubt you'll get tired of it...
Unless the 6th gen debuts with a Z28 model...
