Navigation add on for factory 2010-2012 radio
Local shop mentioned they sell an add-on made to work with our factory radio, i am wondering if anyone has one installed and can shed your thoughts on it.

Haven't heard of this yet. Did they mention a name? I use my iphone and google maps app and it sends the instructions to my factory radio via BT.

Personally I don't like having to hold on to a phone and try to manage while driving....and I have had and used a Tom Tom for years before.....however I found a cool little add on. here is a DIY thread.

How do you "addon" nav to a radio without a display/touch screen? The only reason you would need the radio is for audio queues/speech. Any Garmin, Tom Tom, etc. has audio built in...no real reason for it to interface with the car stereo.

one less visible device to clutter up the windshield, the directions appear where the speed shows up plus gets audio. However, I decided to go get the Pioneer Avic Z150 and a Metra kit this weekend. Pioneer is offering a $100 rebate til the end of August on some of there head units.
