Brake problem

Has anyone else felt a pop in their brake pedal when applying enough for a semi-quick stop? Is this normal to feel this? Thanks!

If you've never had antilock brakes, then you might think the brakes feel strange if your wheels start to skid. It feels like a rapid vibration. That is normal.

Welcome to the site BenFossRRT!!

Sounds like you were braking pretty hard...I've had ABS before and made hard stops. The Camaro does feel a little differently than others I've had - last 2 were Nissan Frontiers. Anyway, as Darth_Emma describes, the ABS will vibrate and make sounds as well. It should do it every time also...

Sorry I'll try and explain a little better... It's not the ABS, its a single pop in the same pedal position. Not a hard enough stop to skid. Even if I am not moving and I press the brake far enough down I feel the single pop. It has no sound I can just feel it in the pedal.

Yup..... heard the pop and noticed there are grooves in the rotor. Only 4000 miles. Wonder if there is a TSB on this.
