CAI intake whistling

So I got the CAI intake installed on my 2010 LT about 3 weeks ago, and I've noticed a whistling sound coming from it when the engine is at ~2500 rpm. Anyone know why this is/what I can do to fix it?

this is normal with most if not all cold air intake systems. my injen whistles too but i love it. i guess turn up the music, or get a loud exhaust to drown out the whistle lol

As long as all your connections are tight then all you are hearing is the movement of air through your CAI. Thanks for choosing Cold Air Inductions Inc., and post some pics of your new mod if you get a chance! Also be sure to "Like" us on Facebook now that you are a member of the club!

It is normal. I like to hear it. The fix is to put back on that butt ugly intake it came with. The purpose of that baffle on it is to eliminate the whistle sound. I get a bigger permagrin when I punch it & she whistles for me. I LOVE my CAI inc intake!

Haha, alright, thanks everyone. Glad to know it's normal, I was just concerned something was hooked up wrong. It will take some getting used to, but as long as my car is happy, I'm happy.

Some people hear a whistle, some people don't, as long as everything is installed correctly then no worries. Thanks for choosing Cold Air inductions Inc.!

My K&N Typhoon whistles too, really freaked me out. Then I found out its specifically the air splitting around the wiper fluid intake. I don't mind it now and if anyone asks I'll tell them I have a turbo lol
