2010 CAMARO AVIS RENTAL
Sad to say im not (YET) a proud camaro owner. I'm in the process of buying my first home. I have to store it some where right?
(DAMN PRIORITIES) With that said Im a LONG way away from getting my camaro 1SS. Anywho I will be going on vacation july 4th weekend so I thought HEY!!! It would be if I flew to my destination and picked up a nice camaro LT1 to rent for the weekend me and my finance':5thgenvert: Just to feel the experience of owning one for a couple days you guys make it sound so good So i call to get a price and the guy told me it was none available for the weekend at that location. I told him that I had already reserved a full size (impala) for 4 days is it possible to upgrade. he said yes we can upgrade you BUT you have to keep the camaro all 4 days and the price is going to be$1167.00 (before tax and insurance) i said HELL NO! So how much is the weekend rate? He said its not available! So now im confused I already cant get my own MARO until january and now your telling me it costs $1200 to rent 1 for 4 days? I know many of you are already Proud Camaro owners, but have anybody rented one or know of someone that has rented one if so how much? Thanks in advance Last edited by MR 313; 06-15-2009 at 09:12 PM. |

There have been a few renters on here lately. I think i remember about 250 a day but not 100%, but that was for a 2SS. One guy rented on here and got pulled over, pretty recent post.

I rented one from Budget in Beverly Hills, CA.
$250.00 per day + tax. It was a 2SS/RS. Maximum mileage I could put on it was 150. Anything over is .43 cents per mile. If you have your own insurance you don't need theirs. Check w/your ins. company though. I only rented it for one day just to make really sure I would like this car. I am soooo in |

I was looking on the AVIS site, and it shows that the LT and the SS are both available. The LT appears to be in stock at the AVIS location close to me, but every time I choose the SS, it tells me that the car class selected is not available at that location. Does anyone know what locations you can reserve the SS at?

I have called them many times and they can't tell you anything, they don't know who has them. I was waiting for them to ask what is a Camaro!

Good question...I believe that KCI only has LT's.
BTW weekend rate here is $85/day Preferred. Comes to around $115/day all in with all the bogus taxes and fees tho... |

Just checked, noticed website does say at major airport locations only so not sure how many if any small avis places have them. The internet price for LT here in Charlotte, NC was 149 before any taxes and fees. i can pretty much book it whenever, i could not get a SS though. Its an option but sold out on a few different days and I didn't check beyond that. Their website is terrible it could be much more user friendly. Thought about reserving one even if its an LT to drive to transformers opening day but can't make up my mind, was hoping to have mine but thats not a possiblity.

I know I am repeating myself from thread to thread but honestly you get the best price by reserving a full sized vehicle once you have confirmed they have a Camaro in stock. Our full size rate was $44 and our negotiated at the counter rate for the 1LT was $65 per day (MSP). Our insurance covers rentals so no need for their expense and somewhat convuluted options that could leave you hanging any ways.

I reserved a fullsize car and also upgraded at the counter for a 2LT Camaro for $74 per day last weekend. I changed my mind after a couple of days and changed my rental for weekly rate of $370 from the savannah airport.
