Wife wants a CRZ, HELP!!
Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am a proud owner of a 2011 Camaro 2SS/RS Silver Ice Metallic M6. I love my car with a passion. My WIFE on the other hand is leasing a 2007 honda civic, and her lease is ending soon. She is currently leaning towards turning her civic in and getting the new CRZ , I've read nothinig but CRAP reviews on this car though. Does anybody here have first-hand knowledge on this vehicle? **ORRRR* Can anybody recommend an alternative? I recognize that Hondas can be good little cars, but I refuse to give up on this so easily. I've tried to sell her on the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, and the Camaro obviously...she didn't like the second Idea ther much:(. She's mostly worried about gas mileage (haha) and dependability. Any input would be helpful! -Ollie

My 2lt is getting 19 mpg right now.. And well.. lets just say I tend to have a heavy foot.. My whole family is impressed with the milage I get.. see if that might change her mind. Of course I'm sure the honda will get better milage than that... But wont look anywhere near as awesome! Also I feel very safe in this car, somethin about the cabin just feels safe. Good luck changing her mind!

We just traded in our lease and purchased a new Chevy Cruze 2LT! This car is great! It has all the goodies the Camaro has including the DIC electronic stuff! The build quality is excellent and gets 37 mpg highway with the 1.4L turbo I-4! It's a 4 door though and I know how tough it is to get a Honda lover to crossover to a domestic but my wife and I both love the Cruze!

The CRUZE! I had forgotten about that, I'm not sure how easy it'll be to sway her off the Japacrap cars she loves but I'd love to have her buy domestic...

There was a recent Top Gear (US version on History Channel) that reviewed the CRZ - not too complimentary. Check the History Channel website - here's the link to the episode - http://www.history.com/shows/top-gea...d-car-salesmen

The Honda Accord Coupe with the V-6 is pretty nice. That might be a good choice too.

if she wants to stick with a Honda...the accord or the fit are nice...or even the civic hybrid...flipping her to american, i'd say the cruze would be most comperable to the crz

Yes! You should ask her to at least DRIVE the Cruze. Don't ask her to buy one, just ask her to drive one before making her decision.
They really are amazing little cars. |

I have a Cobalt and it gives me awesome gas mileage (specially important since my school is a 30 min. drive on the freeway). I know it got replaced by the Cruze (I dont know the mpg for it), the cobalt is very simple but very efficient I drive a lot and spend less than my friends on gasoline plus its very easy to drive since it fits almost anywhere.

Thanks alot for the advice y'all it's really great to have so many good ideas.
bad news though, she went to the dealership without me and she is all in love with a white crz she found for 22k. My ace in the hole at this point is the cruze, the top of the line one is about there, and it has more features and comforts. SO I'll try to get her to drive both before she picks one out. wish me luck y'all
