I did call and speak with Steve. He told me they were testing on a 2012 Camaro and that they should have something available soon, and to check back with him on the 21st.

So how did the tests go? Still trying to decide between the Vararam and the New Era for my 2012 2SS! Hoping something coming out soon from Vararam!!

I got caught up in this '12 vs. '10 VR dealio myself. My installer ordered one w/o the tune, and neither of us knew about this fitment issue, he specifially told them it was for a '12 SS and they sent the old one. Not only that, but they sent it short of a few screws needed to put it on. When he called to ask about it the person he spoke to said, "yeah, I have the screws sitting on a table in front of me, I already knew they weren't in there."

Oh, the VR guy never bothered to call to say anything before the attempted install, he let us try to install it w/o the screws, w/o the possibility of it fitting even if we had the right hardware. I believe the person at VR never called b/c he knew it wasn't going to fit, how could he not have known? That's piss poor IMHO.

I honestly can't understand how a company can stay in business with this kind of piss poor customer service. How long have 2012 models been out now and they still don't have a product for it? What's wrong with this picture? I wonder if they even knew it wouldn't fit the 2012 until their customers started complaining. People have to stop drinking the Vararam Koolaid. When I compared Vararam's mass produced plastic intake with its poorly designed scheme to hold the radiator with New Era's well designed hand made aluminum intake, the choice was easy. Spend the extra $80-$90 for a sturdy, reliable and very well performing intake that is truly a work of art. See for yourself. Just my opinion.

I found several Vararams for $340 shipped. Where are the New Era intakes for $410?

I hear your frustration. Just understand that they could have realized the screw were not in and just not gotten around to calling. I always like to give room for the best possible interpretation to peoples action. All I can tell you is that my experience has always been second to none.

By the way, the design for 2012 without giving to much info is going to be revolutionary base on my understanding compared to the existing unit. I will be replacing my unit for a new one and all I can tell you it will be worth the wait. Which shouldn't be much longer.

Wait there is going to be a change for the existing 2011 model or the 2012 only will be different?
