Fitting a car seat in the back
Just out of curiosity, any of you camaro owners have a car seat in the back of your car? If so how is it?
Iv wanted a 5th gen camaro for a while now but I have a two year old. I had a Jeep Wrangler 2 door and thought it was some sort of a pain. |

i have a 3.5 year old and has had a carseat in my camaro since about 2.5. it fits. i put it on the pass side, i just leave the pass seat up a ways so he cant kick it.
the LATCH system can be a little hard to get access to in the bottom of the seat. this is the car seat i use http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-102...FWprMAodmWEJfQ |

Totally do-able! I have a 3.5 year old, and a 5 month old baby. My setup WAS - 3.5 behind pass, and 5 month behind driver.
That caused me to be eating my knees, so I've rearranged things - my 3.5 year old now sits behind me, and the baby is behind passenger. It's not exactly the easiest to strap in, etc...but I find that not using the base of the infant seat saves some space. I also very recently dropped the carseat for my 3.5yo and he just buckles in and puts the shoulder strap behind him. I am not sure I'd take a road trip like this, but with the adjustability of the seat/steering column, it can be bearable for sure!! Like the other guy said - the LATCH system is kind of tough to get to. I just use the seatbelt to hold down the infant carrier, and like I said, just buckle in my older one now. |

It's nice when they get into the booster seat age. Your not far off
It also appears the 5th gen had more rear seat room than the gen 6 just looking at them. Ryan

I have two 2 year old girls in the back. They both fit just fine. I'm also 5'9 so I don't use much space in the front anyways

I'm new to Chevy/Camaro's. Don't know too much about them yet. But my child is only two.
Iv always been a Honda guy and right now I got a 2003 civic four door. Yuck lol. But the car seat I have is massive. And was over $300 hope it wouldn't be a problem locating it back there. You guys go with the base model or lt? |

Agreed with everything. I have a Britax Boulevard seat (which is a hefty-sized seat) behind the driver's for my 3-year-old son. Putting the seat in and tightening it down is not a lot of fun, but you don't have to that everyday. He is able to climb and out of the seat unassisted, and I only need to lean it to work the seat harness for him.
One word of advice if you get leather seats is to put a towel or something under the base of the seat before tightening it in to protect your upholstery. Also, try to keep the sticky kiddie snacks out of the backseat.

I strap in my 5 yr old girl and 7 yr old boy with ease in booster seats. Just took a 6 hour road trip with them back there and they didn't complain TOO much haha

Oh in also rear facing still.... Maybe that is why I hate it. The back of the car seat is pressed up against my seat.
My ex nailed me in the head with the rear facing |

At age 2, I would expect that you could move to a forward-facing seat? My son moved to one by 14 months (because he had out-grown the rear-facing one). I think rear-facing is a PITA in any vehicle.

I'm not sure what the law is. But she's just over two years.
She was always crazy about putting car seats on the outside and had to be rear facing. I guess I can try and research |
