Awesome! And they were right of the gate with best of them all! The Ariel Atom looked like a lot of fun, especially off road.

Always love "shootouts" that can't even put the cars on even track conditions.

it's a BS comparison at best. The Z/28 out the gate in the rain with cold, barely Street legal tires (hence their uselessness in the rain). The Z/28 was given every disadvantage possible and graded as if all conditions were equal. I'm sorry, but with EQUAL terms for all vehicles tested, I'm not sure the Z wouldn't be more like 2-3 instead of 5...especially behind a MINI!

Yeah, the Mini beating out the Z/28 is a joke.

They did say in the video, it was not a far comparison for the Z. They knew it would do better, but we're time limited and had to go with it. Still, it ran that good in the rain and cold...

So I guess at Limerock when a Pontiac Solstice does a 59 second lap vs the Z28 1:00 lap that is a joke as well right. Understand that on small tighter courses the lighter, more nimble cars with less power still outgun heavier more powerful cars.

Understood. Any car can be beaten if taken out of it's element. Just to be clear... are you saying that a Z/28, which ran within 1 second of a Porsche 911 GT3 at Barber Motorsports Park (both driven on the same day by the same driver on fairly tight course) is not a better track car than a Mini whatever or a Solstice? If so, then they are equal to or better than a 911 GT3?

Too bad it wasn't dry for the Z's run. Oh well. I'm still trading mine for a Mini.

Wow

As a car enthusiast, that video was very enjoyable, and worthy of more than the typical 2-minute-attention-span length. I am ok that it was not a fully objective measurement and comparison of the cars.

What a great variety of autos, some of which I had never heard of. It is still vindication of the Z-28's greatness, and a tremendous compliment to Al O. and team that they could put together a track car that still performs like that, even in such disadvantageous conditions.

I agree completely. Sure, it wasn't a fair comparison. However, they said NOTHING BUT GOOD about the Z. Watching just that portion of the video makes the watcher want to drive one. That's great IMO, especially for a European audience.
