Anyone with 500-550rwhp able to hook with drag radials on street?

Hey everyone I am about to send my car off for a stall small 2400 with Livernois 2C cam to accompany my current 501rwhp Magnacharged auto. It is projected that I will see 530-550whp on the dyno with some hp hidden by stall. What I am wondering is if with this power is there anyone that is able to use a drag radial on 20" wheel that will hook at these levels at a roll or from a dig. I will have the BMR trailing arms, non adj toe rods, and rear cradle inserts along with Nitto 555R. With these stock tires I already have some turbo diesel trucks that can give me a run for my money due to my car spinning and getting squarly. They never get by me lol but I feel that I could be much further ahead especially once I add this power but I need to get it to hook and I know the stall can make that worse. Any opinions suggestions would be great.

My gosh guys..what temps are you having down there to even think about running DR right now.

They are like hard plastic when below 60 degrees and not very effective.

Of course PZeros are just as bad but at least you wont be cracking them.

Yes my car might as well be on ice all the time in 30 below. Just sucks when a big heavy trunk can hold you because of it lol. Thanks for the info on not running the dr's in winter though that way I will know I need to have mine changed back over to stock atleast for winter. man I was hoping for some luck on hooking atleast from a roll!

When it is warm you will see a HUGE difference running DR on the street. I also vote for either the 555 or 05.

I can say I have heard the 05 is not great for mileage. I drive my car about 12k a year so I think the 555r would allow me a full years use which would be most cost effective but I really want the car to hook I did do ok one pzeros this past summer I spun but once it hooked it went and now winter is really sucky so I was thinking atleast in the summer on dr's I could hook pretty good.

I have about the same HP with an auto and 555 DRs on the OE wheels. I could not tell much difference between the Nittos and the PZeros when driving on the street. Now when you can let some air out and heat them up like at the track there is a huge difference.

It will be better with the 555's but if you squash the pedal my guess is that it's still gonna spin. So much low end tq on an unprepared surface.

Pretty much. 4wd/awd will win out all most everytime on the street and short runs. Instant traction is hard to beat.

If you are willing to go down in rim diameter you can gain some traction back. Also M/T is coming out with 20" drag radials.
