seat won't fold forward

Just curious if anyone else had a seat get stuck?
The release wont move to flip the driver's seat forward for back seat access. I have an awesome dealer to deal with...that is not the issue. Just curious if this is a known issue.

Maybe this is a different thing but I felt really dumb after I had my tint installed. I thought my seat release wasn't working, but the motorized control on the side of the seat will move the seat WAY further than I ever expected it to. Make sure it just wasn't moved completely in one direction or the other haha. The motor will surprisingly make the seat go forward the whole way to the dash.

you have to push the seat back slightly while lifting up on the latch (by that I mean apply pressure from the front pushing the seatback toward the rear of the car with your hand).. it's not that it is stuck or requires force, it is that the latch needs to have the pressure relieved before going forward.

had the same issue on several makes/models of 2 seaters with fold forward seats. Nature of the design of a seat with a power recline and a manual fold forward motion, the 2 latching systems work against each other to keep the seat position in the event of an impact.

using this method my 8 year old has no issue flipping the seat forward, so you shouldn't either.

My passenger seat works flawless...that's how my kids get in and out when we are in the car. I got the driver's side to release by pushing back on it real freaking hard. It popped real loud and released. that's still not right.

Push the little button that locks it in the up position and you can push it back down.

Red face

I have had the same issues with both latches. You have to adjust the back of the seats forward just to allow the cord to work with enough room. I unzipped the back of the seat and followed the cords down and seen it was getting pinched when we have the seat adjusted to far back. Now we have to adjust our seats every time to make it work but at least my kids are not crawling through to get out in a parent drop off line at school anymore..
