European Camaro Cup Coming to US in February - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

The Camaro Cup series will be opening up it's 2012 season along side the V8 Stockcar series in February.

Howe Racing Enterprises put the two groups together earlier this year and we worked out the details for two events
along with SCCA and HSR.

The two double events will be held in Florida, with round one at historic Sebring International Raceway with SCCA on
Feb. 11-12 and round two at Palm Beach International Raceway with HSR on Feb, 18-19, 2012.

The chassis and bodies are built by Howe Racing and shipped overseas.
The cars are powered by warmed over versions of the chevy ZZ4 crate motors making about 450 HP. They are tube framed and weigh about 2500# minus driver.

Very similar to the SCCA Trans Am 2 versions, save for most TA 2 types are LS powered.

This is a very popular pro series in Europe, Jam Magnusson drives one as well as Grand Am driver Nic Jonnson who did much of the develpment work.
