I inherited

I inherited a 1998 Camaro today, guy gave it to me.I was surprised that he just gave it to me without me making an offer.I am going to do something with it later on with the spring.Did work on it a little bit and never told me it has blown headgaskets due to a badly leaking radatior ignored.I did do a compression test on every cylinder not good and has the LS1 with these results: #1, 50 #2, 50 #3, 75 #4, 75 #5, 100 #6, 75 #7, 90 and #8, 80
#1.I say this one got too hot and considering two options.I am considering doing the 6.0 swap or another LS1.I have a perfect running 6.0 LQ4 out of a 2003 Chevy HD pickup sitting around.I have access to a machine shop, work at one.Pros and cons. It's in good shape with 95,000 miles on it.

This sounds odd. Did you know the guy? Did you get a title?

Anyway, that LQ4 will drop right in. Just need to drill and tap one spot on the block for the alternator. The LQ4 has a little lower compression, so it's great for boost.

I like the car.I looked it all over. The inside is spotless with no dings and scratches.Outside, one scratch on the driver's side fender.Brand new brakes all around including the tires.Found a recipt for a fuel pump replacement, brand new Delphi fuel pump which is good.

You seem like a nice guy OP, so I am going to say this in the least asshole-ish way I can think of - it is pretty fun to press the spacebar when posting

I'd take a free LS car anytime no matter what condition it's in.
