I got one in almost the same place, about the same size. Have no idea where it came from. Its garage kept, and only been wet 1 time since I owed it. We live nowhere near a golf course, no kids in the picture either. ????

Unless the Hulk is playing golf it probably isn't a golf ball haha.
It really could be anything, for now I'm sticking to meteor.
One of the posts above said it could be from leaning my hand on it but I think it would require a decent amount of force to make that dent.
I'm not ruling anything out though (hence the meteor).

I wouldn't try to mess with it yourself. If you don't know what you are doing you will cause a crease in the metal or crack the paint and then it will be way more of a hassle than the PDR guy. I tried on a few and it is an art/talent those guys have, when they are done its like it never existed.

As for how it might have happened who knows, could have been just a jerk hitting it walking by in a parking lot.

Well if it was a meteor, you need to see if you can find it, because one big enough for that dent would be worth wayyyyy more than it costs to repair!

You won't be able to get to it by pulling the trim off. That is a reinforced pillar. PDR with glue tabs IMO.

Sorry, if it was a meteor, it would have pierced the paint, or left a hole. A small one wouldnt leave a dent like that, and a big one would be visable.

Ouch... and thats in a bad spot. Like others mentioned, its a reinforced pillar so odds are its not going to get 'pounded out' like a traditional door ding would be by PDR.

I had a similar dent when my TBSS took a hit (some jerk kid throwing pinecones at cars as they drove past on Katella Ave at 50mph) None of my PDR contacts could get it out... even using pullers it just couldn't be popped back.

Ended up having to go to my buddies bodyshop, they pulled the interior trim, drilled a few access holes and pushed it out. Still wasn't perfect, had a small ripple even after all that.

Hope yours works out though... mystery dents are always annoying!

I doubt that will work on that dent.
