I predict while they are adamant there will be NO new colors for ZL1
my prediction is there will be a "synergy" (insert color here) reserved for ZL1 after production starts sometime in the mid 2012 year run.

I thought this was a very good prediction when I first read it, but with the recent white ZL1 photos posted it looks like a sunroof will be optional.

I predict the zl1 to have:

1. Between 556 and 560 advertised hp.
2. All or most of the features shown on the auto show examples.
3. One heritage color either in mid '12 or '13
4. A special Lemans Blue color making an appearance in '14
5. Poor me......deciding the fate of one of my vehicles (maybe) in getting a zl1.
6. Last...and most important....spanking the heck out of all of those mustangs!

I predict I will own a ZL1 in the first quarter of 2012, and
will be posting a pic here with perm grins from my wife
and me.

As far as other predictions.
A new special beefed up transmission to be announced
sometime in September.
Heritage style grill with blacked out bow tie.
Unique racing style strips for the ZL1.
Special new assemble and look for the auto trans handle
unit unique for the ZL1
special unique optional colors two to choose from at a
price of $2,000 a nice blue and nice new green.

This is addition to an earlier post on this thread.

That would be a welcome gesture. I'm pulling for that prediction.

I'm not sure why I just figured out that I think it would be a great idea for GM to release the final production ZL1 with a different grill than the standard eggcrate. Z4me's post kind of gave me a moment of enlightenment, lol.

I would imagine, maybe incorrectly, changing the grill would be a relatively inexpensive way of making IMO a real visual impact in further differentiating the ZL1 from the other models.

But even as nice as it is, don't replace the eggcrate with the heritage grill. That grill is all over the aftermarket and has been out for years. I'd want something custom and unique to the ZL1. I've always been a big fan of the Leno grill, or even a new design to match the ZL1's personality. Whatever, I really like the idea and think it would make a big difference.

So new prediction: GM will later reveal the final production ZL1 with a custom, as of today unreleased grill.

*Edit: Oops, looks like I didn't read the rest of the thread close enough. Black5thgen gets first credit for the custom grill prediction. I guess I'll kind of piggyback off of that one too

I predict with a pulley swap and a tune, the ZL1 is going to be more beastly than it already is.

Chevrolet introduced a new Camaro model, the ZL1, at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show. The ZL1 features a supercharged and intercooled 6.2L V-8 engine that produces an estimated 550 hp. A six speed manual with a dual plate clutch, MagneRide active suspension (formerly used in the Corvette lineup), 20 inch Goodyear Supercar F2 tires with aluminum wheels, and 14.4/14.6 inch Brembo brakes are included. The vehicle is expected to be available in early 2012 for the 2012 model year.[37] Pricing has not been finalized yet, but it was estimated that the ZL1 will have the base price around $47,000.[38]
