Bolt on mod questions

I am looking to do some bolt on mods and have some questions.

I am doing
Cai
10" lower pulley
ID 850 injectors
LT headers/cats
Bap
CC
Hx
IC resevoir

Do I need a tune with these mods?
Is there anything else required to make these bolt on's work?

Thanks.

Yes, you will need a tune.

You are going to need more fuel as well. I was able to get away with a 9.55" but anything over a 9.55" and your going to néed a BAP. With that level of boost, I would probably do headers as well to drop the boost a bit.

The big questions that never seems to get asked is, what do you plan on doing with the car? What are your goals?

Some drag and spirited driving for now

Possibly some track in the future

I am not personally pushing a particular vendor, but Ted does assembe some good combos of parts. Check him out as well as some of the other forum sponsors and see if you can find a package deal. Personally fron your listed goals I wouldn't go any higher than a 9.10 lower to keep some traction on the street and boost temps reasonable.

99 percent of the time I agree with ZO6bryan, however I think if your only going a few miles, and don't put your foot into it, you will be ok. That being said, he knows a hell of a lot more about ZL1's than I do, and the mods your doing to it.

Best thing I can tell you to do is get a hold of a tuner who can get you a startup file, then do some remote tuning. Or have him get you a startup file so you can drive it into his shop.

The ID850s will need a tune to get the flow rates correct, i think it would be super rich and hard to keep from flooding the cats without a base tune for those at least.

When I did my 850s I had a Jannetty tune and it fired and idled right up. I didnt start it with out the tune to see if it would idle.

do not start the car with ID850s without at least a revision in the fuel injector flow table. It will start, but it will be extremely rich as stated above.

Yes it will flood out. You can install all the other parts and drive it easily and be allright. But as soon as you put the injectors in it will need tuning to even get it to run.
