I wait no longer than 4k miles to change it, but it also depends on how you drive your car. I drive it spirited majority of time, drag it once in a while, and have taken it to top speed a few times.

I do go more by mileage. I aim for right at 5000. Changed to full synthetic at 1500 miles and have been going every 5k (ish) since

I change my oil every 3000 miles and I use Royal Purple or Red Line ahah, it's just a good idea.

I'd trade him an iPad for all of those mods for sure, your engine won't knock. That's rediculous. The headers do add 33 horse though, not sure if that's considered knocking.

33 on a stock car in the midrange. More like 18 to 20 peak HP.

Just what I was thinking, iPads are at most half of what headers would cost. Even if you don't want them for your car get em anyway.
