It will come down to two questions. 1) How much do you want to spend? 2) what are you going to use the car for? Buying a 1LE would be cheaper than buying a 1SS and trying to duplicate a 1LE. The 1LE option isn't going to be cheap, but it will be cheaper than buying all of those parts and installing them on a 1SS. I would think that there will be a slight bump in the price for a 2013 Camaro. I would think that a 2013 1SS/RS would have a sticker price of just under $37,000. a 1LE/RS will probably have a sticker price of around $42,000. You should be able to buy either one of those cars for less than sticker price, but there will still be the difference in price between the two cars. Based on what you've said in this thread, I would think that you would be happiest with a 1SS/RS with a supercharger on it. I would think that you could have that car for about the same price as a 1LE.

They're asking too much. I would wait until you have settled into your new job. Get a few pay checks in the bank. The finance companies will want to see some pay stubs anyway. Plus a better down payment will help you get a better interest rate.
Then order you SS in the color you want with the options you want. Like the famous burger add. Have it your way. |

And he's gone again after giving no useful info...LOL I would wait if you can afford it. As for trading up if you had an SS, maybe not. But you are trading up and can afford it, might as well get the best you can for the money. The 1LE will most likely retain its value better than the older car also. For my money, new 1LE! no question |

As previously mentioned, and as you alreayd know, that's way too high. I would look for a 2SS/RS with 20k miles around the 27-28k range. And, as also mentioned, it depends on what you want, and how much you want to spend.
For me, a 2SS/RS for 28k was a great deal -- but I was being impatient. If I had known better, I would have spent a similar amount for a 2011+ (what with the HUD and the back up sensors/camera). However, I'm with you -- I hate the new steering wheels. The steering wheel on the 2010/2011's (I think 2011 was still the same) looks much better, and I can't imagine using the new 2012 steering wheels (though it may be more comfortable, I'm willing to compromise). So, personally, I would say look for a 2011. I know that Carmax is notorious for 'high prices,' but the benefit of them shipping vehicles from way outside your driving range is a plus. Additionally, if you don't plan on taking the 1LE to a track, then I (again, 'PERSONALLY') wouldn't wait for it. The LS3 is plenty badass by itself |

Just wanted to update everyone on this.
I didn't get the car nor did I want it after looking at it. Paint had A LOT of swirls, driver's side had a bunch of scratches, interior was meh, and after sitting in it and what not I realized I'd have to do a lot of work to get it where I'd want it. So I have decided to wait on either the 1LE or a new SS next year. I'll want one in CRT, M6 (still hate I have an A6 right now), and RS. Rest is whatever. I hope I can put on a 2010-2011 steering wheel on it. I really dislike the new wheels. Also thanks guys!
