Pretty sure he'd be staring down the barrel of my G17 long before the police arrived.

I believe "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you" and also, if they do not, then react all out of proportion to the offence. I was at a friends house a few years back when a young man broke into my friends car and tried to ram it through the garage door. When he got out of the car, he got the beating that he deserved. He told the cop "they assaulted me". The cop started laughing.

My thoughts exactly. Kudos to you for having the unordinary self control to watch the guy as he is attempting to break in your car. No way I could do it. I freak if my own kids touch the paint let alone a thief looking to steal her and at minimum damage her in his attempt.

You're a better man than I sir.

Doesn't sound like this guy would do any more than rifle through the car and steal a few CDs.

I hope you turned on the floods and opened the big door when the LEO showed up. With all your friends next to you.
do do do doo...
He better run!
Guess you did not read the part about trying to ram the car through the door. He was after the car, "not a few CD's". When the cop showed up, we were holding the guy for him. Ther were two of us not "all my friends". Break into my car or house or harm my Harley and you better hope the hell I don't catch you. When my 1970 Mercury Montego got stolen, I went out hunting with Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson at my side. Of course I never found the thief. Good luck to him. If I did find him, he would have been very very sorry. So, if someone breaks into your Camaro and only steals "a few CD's, it is alright with you?

Never met a marine that could sit in the house and watch someone try to steal
Their property...i would been all over him, kicked his ass and THEN called
The law...and I'm only 62.

But, maybe you did the right thing.

I could see this story having an alternate ending of "I'm sorry officer, I certainly don't have any idea how this guy broke so many bones... He must have fallen a couple times while trying to break in.. You know those jimmy bars man, they'll mess you up."

You definitely have some self control... I'd have come out guns a blazing, as it were....

I didn't turn the lights on and the house was rather dark as the friends and I were watching a movie. Out the corner of my eye I see a shadow hovering over my Camaro. I move closer to the garage door windows to investigate and what do a see? Some stupid asshole attempting to jimmy my driver side door open!

The garage door windows are tinted and at night you cant see in them so he couldn't see me watching him. I call the police right then and there and sat back watching and waiting. I guess its rather difficult to jimmy open the Camaro doors cause this idiot just was not getting the job done.

About 10 minutes into it the cops come screaming down the street which happens to be a closed off dead end road. The idiot takes off runing towards the dead end and is quickly tagged up by the 5-0. I go outside, tell the cops whats up and then the stream of lies start pouring out. First he said it wasn't him, then he said he was just looking, then he said he was... Oh you'll love this one... Cleaning it for me!

Point of the story is this. Man caves that include a man fridge have many uses. The most recent being it provides regularly scheduled trips to retrive more beer which leads to regularly scheduled check ups on my beautiful Camaro. I just added this one to the top 10 reasons of why men NEED a man cave. Thank me later!

What I don't understand is why your Camaro isn't in your man garage.
