I don't have the exact answer, but I'm wanting to chalk the windows in order of running.

Car #1 stock would look like 1S, then 2S, 3S, etc until modified then 81M, 82M, 83M, Super Mod 104SM, 105SM, ZL1 181Z, 182Z. Shoe cars, I don't know for sure

The order is in the AutoX Driver schedule thread linked in my signature. Hope that helps

Last year I made up the numbers as car's went through tech inspection. We kept a list of names, plate #'s and assigned car # for each class (stock, mod, super mod).

As long as we can Identify a car to a person, any number is OK. It's a way to track the participants and post the times to the car number.

If someone showed up with a # already pasted on their car (# 20 for example) they ran with that #. If it was assigned (20 to someone else, we appended a letter or digit to the car with the shoe polish #.

I have # 38 in super mod.. I know Chevy 3 will want to have his Dale Earnhart # 3 on the doors... that's why he is asking.

It would look kinda funny if I had number 22 when my car looks like this:

So my numbering method above is correct?

Okay, you can be 38SM

Yeah... pretty much your numbering method would work for marking the cars. That probably won't work for the assigned run order over multiple days, though.

I'll give you a hand at the track to get this sorted out. We can discuss on Wednesday or Thursday while we are setting stuff up and watching Pete drive over cones we just set up.

The car #/driver/class needs to be provided to the starter, announcer, and timing/scoring so the times/cars can be tracked appropriately.

I really appreciate it. These little details are starting to cause me to lose sleep.

We'll ground Pete if he slaughters too many

I'm happy to assist.

Not to worry to much.. Pete backs up, opens the door and reset the cones when he knew he killed them last year.. It's when Pete has 4 people (or more) for the joy rides when it really gets interesting..
I don't know which was funnier.. the LACK OF CAR CONTROL or the comments about how bad the Impala suspension was not up to the task of hauling around 4-5 people through the course.

What will Pete have for a rental car this year..???

I will already have the Number 48 on my car. So I would like to use the #48 if possible.

Thanks.
