Removed both the Plenum Spacer and Intake Manifold spacer. Might be going to the track tomorrow to see how the car runs. I also found some boost leaks with the meth injection, my engine bay had red dye everywhere from the boost juice.
Don't know how many runs I will be doing though, there will be a jet engine car out there tomorrow. I want to see how it runs. |

No, they were from where the silicon hose connects to the throttle body. It may be leaking from back pressure when the blade closes though.
Car is loving the dual nozzle setup, I'm getting 21 degrees of timing with 3 degrees of knock retard. I'm going to look at doing a pulley down to increase boost now. Not much, maybe 12 psi max. I also discovered that the installer of SIXJAK's IPF was correct on the recirculation valve. The plunger part faces the boost pressure. When you have a safe injection solenoid hooked up and it relieves the pressure in the vacuum line the pressure will open the valve and dump pressure. I will be adding this before I do my pulley down since I will be relying on meth for safety. |

The spacers make no difference on a FI setup, I ran a 13.4 @ 107 again. Only difference I feel is that my car feels like it is back on my old all-season Pirelli's, spinning in 2nd gear.

Since I haven't posted a picture of the Mustang in a while, this is from 2 weeks ago at the track.

No new videos, won't be for a while till we get helmets. She is running a 14.1 @ 102 right now, but she is losing a lot of time when the car shifts into 2nd gear. It shifts so hard the tires start spinning and the computer shifts up to 3rd real fast, then shifts back down to 2nd gear.

with better tires the car should be LOW 13s!
Look at me.. I have a convertible which is heavier... only mods are tune, 3.55 gears and a simple axle-back on all season tires.... and a morbidly obese driver (300 pounds)... and my best runs are 13.58 @ 102 MPH... so yeah... 13's easily... also assuming they can get some descent weather! (my 13.58 was with a DA of 330)

Might sound backwards, but would a softer TCM setting perhaps help out, and keep her from doing the crazy 2 - 3 - 2 shifting because of all the spinning? I can see how that would totally kill a run.

We have a BAMA hybrid tune but when it shifts it takes a while. Might get 3 new tunes and try the softer one, but my wife likes the MPT tune better since it removes the adaptive shifting. I'm really going to be screwed once she gets a Procharger installed.
I am seeing red dye from the boost juice in front of the Plenum cover, think the stock gasket is leaking. I don't have the spacers on so I may have to seal it more. |

I may have plugged all my intake leaks too well. I was doing a second gear pull and when I let off the throttle I heard a loud BOOM and engine was not responding and eventually turned off. Popped the hood open and my intake pipe at the throttle body blew off. I was able to get it back on and got to work, just have to be careful on the way home. I may need to see if I can get an elbow connector for the throttle body and get a better clamp.
