okay i might be dumb but i got the light one the lights are loose two the harness directions are crap and now i am mad because my lights wont be fog lights can u help me find directions that work the one from the website are not good

Thanks for that... Just received mine today and the instruction photocopy printout was unreadable... now I can see what im doing... cant wait to get them in this weekend... :-)

do they cut off when you turn on the Hi-beams? VA law that's why I ask.

Hi guys,

Yesterday I just started driving and recieved a warning along the lines of "check power something", I pulled over to have a look and turned the car off. I then went to restart and the check engine light came on and multiple warning flashed. It basically looked like it was prompting me through every warning. Again I turned car off. It then wouldn't start for a couple minutes.

It now starts and runs fine with no engine light.

I took it to the dealer this morning and was told they detected there was loss of communication to the BCM.

They told me this was likely do to the upgraded plasma drl's I had installed. I also have the harness that connects the drl to the halos so that they can both be on at the same time.

I'm curious if anyone else has bad issues? And if anyone bag is more knowledgable than me can way in.

Can switching to plasma bulbs and a simple wiring splice to power them cause the bcm to looses communication and then throw on these warnings?

Is it possible the car wasn't starting because the bcm was rebooting?

I just don't want the dealer to point at these drl's and miss something bigger.

FYI...this is a 2013 2ss 1le. The bulbs I bought from phasetek.

I have emails into phastek, they clearly didn't test this product. A simple $13 parts has caused such a significant issue the acr wouldn't start

This is what I'm going to replace the current harness I have. I pulled it yesterday.


Not sure why phastek is selling something that doesn't work? They haven't gotten back to me yet so we'll see.

I got bulbs and harness for 50 bucks half of what others are paying for the same items

I get what your saying. I don't think the items are identical though. There is different qualities of bulbs. But to your point many have issues with the premium bulbs not fitting properly or failing.

from what I was told same bulbs, same manufacturer, got these links from other c5 members no issues, some will say 6000 series may be blue hue than 5ooo series but they look white to me
