Tl1 hood insert? Is it worth it

I want that tl1 hood insert soooo bad for my car. Had the $$ in my Paypal sitting for like 2 months now. I just can't seem to pull the trigger! $600 for a insert lol I'm like damn. Then I see the hoods on eBay for about same price but I heard there not that good. I'd rather buy a hood then and insert. What's y'all opinion?

If you get a hood you're going to have to paint it - good luck getting the color to match without blending the panels around it. Plus, all the hoods with the insert carved in them look like crap. They are are sculpted poorly/uneven.

Do yourself a favor and get the insert. The physical separation of the insert/hood looks better than the hoods.

You mean another stock hood with TL1 insert or ZL1 hood with ZL1-style insert? The price is a little bit steep but the look is worth it. Functional too.
