$5000 over msrp is a steal compared to these.
seen some ads on Kijiji calgary, for new ss cars still sitting on dealers lots, $63000, $54500,$59000, for cars that list for under $47,000CAD. if you can pull off this kind of A*$rape why work? 3 or 4 of these a year would be good lsupplemental living. good luck dipsticks. i don't know how to post a link but i,m sure someone can.

Hold on.....This is a free market after all...if someone is willing to pay over MSRP to be the first kid on the block.....whats the problem with that??
The 2 big dealers in Calgary, CMP and Southgate were both taking orders at MSRP, and both are honoring that. So, you order a car, you can get it at MSRP, you walk in off the street and they happen to have one, you pay a premium, or you simply order one.... I dont see anything wrong with that as long as the dealer is being upfront and gives you the option to order one at MSRP......whats the harm?? |

Legal, yea. Moral, no.
Why? Camaro is a car for the working family. Not some elite car for the rich. Screw the gougers there is always a price to pay later for them. Karma comes back to you. When there lot is empty cause they didn't pick up loyal customers. Put a loudspeaker in your Camaro you buy from someone else and drive by saying "how's that gouge workin for ya" as they lower the shutters on the dealership. |

no harm, if someone has 16k cash burning a hole in their pocket and want to part with it for no reason except to be the one of the first 15000 or so, great. a fool and their money are easily parted. I paid cash for mine, by the sweat off my nads, got my fleet discount honoured, 1500 gm card bucks, 1000 multi gm discount and would laugh in the face of someone stupid enough to pay corvette cash for a camaro.

well thats my point, if there is a market to pay over MSRP.....you have every right to be able to expoit that market....and it has absolutely nothing to do with morals.
If you are given the option to order a car at guaranteed MSRP + discounts, or drive off the showroom floor with a 'market value adjustment'...this to me is the best of both worlds. Same thing applies to someone who pays MSRP and then flogs the car on Kijiji or EBAY for more than what they paid.....I find absolutely nothing wrong with this.....nothing.... |
