Definitely hear that LS3 valvetrain more in the cockpit, but I've got some CCF/vinyl sound deadener I'll be putting in the floors to knock it down.

On a side note I can't seem to get my tips to align, drivers side seems to sag while the passenger tends to come up. I'll probably end up pulling the mufflers out and adjust the hangers to get it to stay perfect, but I am pretty particular about the car...Or I might take it to the exhaust shop and have them weld it all up for me too.

This is this weeks project

I have a friend that has this system, its not bad for the price but its loud .If its to loud for you you can just weld some 16 1/2 " dyno max bullets in line.I have catless ARH and a Kooks 3" cat back,it was too loud so i had a muffler shop weld tham in just past the tran. brace. It is one of the best sounding LS cars I have heard. It kills the rasp and gives it a deep tone, well as deep as you can get an LS anyways.

Pictures of how good you got your tips?

My driver's side one is in too far and the passenger side one keep coming up.

My passenger side tip kept moving, so I took it to my boys @ Lashway Motorsports and Josh re-centered it, then added a tiny tack weld to the joint--hasn't moved since.

You mean the tip itself was moving around the muffler?

Cause I'm sure sure what else could be takced up....

No, the tip is already welded to the muffler when you get it, so the whole muffler & tip was rotating, i.e. the clamp in the back wasn't keeping it in its place. 'Forgot to mention, he put a stronger clamp on that one before adding the tack. 'Shoulda just bought new clamps for the whole system, like others have, initially, but it's holding together just fine now. It also, due to the larger-diameter pipe, rattled against the tunnel brace over bumps, so I had them add a few washers to each bolt between the brace and frame to add a little more clearance--another easy fix (no more rattles).

I just used some wire and splices. Extended each wire about 6 inches.

Splices? Like butt connectors?

I was going to solder in extensions but I read somewhere that you "can't" because the leads from the O2 sensor are not copper/aluminum.

Yeah I used butt connectors, but you can solder them too. I've done hundreds of them like that.

I just purchased some OBX 13" extensions from ebay. They haven't arrived yet, but the listing says they work on the LS3. There were more sets available. $29 + $10 shipping.

It's 6-10 business days to ship extensions to Canada... I do have experience with electronics so I think I will go the DIY way with this.
