Brief introduction

Hi everyone! I've been lurking on the site now and thought it was a good time to say hi. I picked up my black 2010 2SS/RS about 3 weeks ago and still have that perma-grin everyone talks about.

Because of the timing on when I picked her up, and of my location, I am now scrambling to get her cleaned up and stored. I found a place yesterday that does detailing, as well as provides storage. I am thinking of going this route for a couple reasons: 1) once I get it cleaned, I don't want to have to drive it home on crappy, snowy, salty roads; and 2) I'd like to be able to park my winter beater in the garage too!

The problem is, we are expected to get a bunch of snow this week, so getting the car to the shop may prove to be difficult!!! At least I will still be able to look at her in my garage for a little longer!

and welcome to C5. We're glad to have you here.

There are rules here though and everyone is going to get all over you for NOT posting a picture of your car. We love pictures and being new - it's pretty much a requirement here. So even if you don't have your digital camera handy, the cell phone photo will work just fine.

Ya, I'm with ya on the snow car. Our group was attending a Toys for Tots event yesterday and as we were getting ready to leave we all thought we saw a flake - then it came.. SNOW, yes in North Carolina. It was the big heavy flake variety - the pretty kind. Got about 2 inches in this area overnight and no salt on the roads. Mine's a daily driver, wish I could afford a beater, but that just isn't going to happen, but mines good in the snow for what few times she sees the snow!!

Hope to see you here frequently.. Welcome aboard. Lori

Welcome, and as far as not being able to drive it I am in the same boat as you. We have snow and the wife won't let me until Christmas. LOL

Thanks, Lori!

Here's a larger version of the picture I used for my avatar. The detailing shop I mentioned also has a photography studio so I think I may get some photos done after they clean it. Some of the particulars are: LS3, CGM strips, tint, and blacked out badges.

Welcome to C5 forums, mine's parked for the winter too, it sucks! At least I got to put 6k on mine before snow fell.

Welcome aboard. When the spring finally gets here, you'll be ready for a road trip, so head on over to Woodhaven (just south of Detroit) and say HI.

Congrats on the new beauty, just a shame to have to put it away so quickly. Don't be a stranger, you'll find lot's to keep you occupied through the long winter days.

Welcome to C5 camarocpa.
As I type this we have a whiteout outside.
I'm (hopefuly) picking mine next Sat.
I have a flatbed lined up to bring him home.
No way am I driving in this %#$5%!!!!.
Check around and see how much it would cost you.
If you have AAA+ you may be able to work out a deal with the tow company. They know ways around red tape.
I did!
Good Luck

I dug up another picture of my car. This is from the dealer's site, before I bought it. Man, it really looks good in the sun!
