Don't you think it's peculiar that the government waited to start these probes until AFTER they had no more financial liability in GM? Never think that they are stupid.

Yeah but is it something you can do on accident or did you lift your leg off the ground to do it?

For you guys saying "you're not gonna do the recall", Chevy will do it for you. Many times I've taking my car to the dealership (not a Camaro) for normal maintenance and didn't even know there was a recall on my car. The service guy brings my car around and calls your name in the waiting area. Once he gives me my paperwork, he explains what was done including the recalls too. So, you guys are gonna take your car into the dealership and come out with a new key mechanism unbeknowst to you. That'll be a swift kick in the !!

That might be true for people who have the dealership do their service, but they wont be seeing my vehicles.

It's also a good idea to tell them when you drop it off that you don't want any work done except what you're bringing it in for.

That's why people need to read the owners manual to learn things like that.

My door has a keyhole?!

Also since the trunk has no keyhole, if the battery ever completely died I guess you'd just have to jump it from under the hood? You could crawl through the trunk I suppose but my sound system makes that impossible.

I've tried jumping cars with completely dead batteries and they still won't start, hopefully that does not happen to me!

When I first purchased my 2011 Camaro SS, I had issues with my ignition turning off. It happened once in a while, not often.

When I would make a strong left turn my car would suddenly turn off and go dead. And this was is in traffic. I would have to come to a stop and restart the car.

I thought my knees were touching the keys and some how I was inadvertently turning off the ignition. I also thought it could be the weight of my keys so I made some adjustments.

So the problem sort of went away. However, when I start up my car in the morning and make an immediate U-turn, the ignition would go off in the middle of a u-turn. So I knew, turning the handle was an issues when starting my car up.

I told my service rep at the dealer but he couldn't do much for me. I don't have any problems right now. And that's because I don't make U-turns when I first start up my car in the morning. But to know that there was an issues with the ignition and there is a fix on the way is a relief. For a while, I thought I was somehow causing the problem.
