Just a suggestion.
I would delete DOD/AFM completely (not just below 60mph or a certain speed).

AFM noises are very annoying at cruise speeds. Everytime you just barely get on and off the gas (while cruising just to maintain a constant speed) you'll get the AFM sounds. I hated the sounds just cruising to work down the main drag going 60mph or so.

With the AFM deleted (completely) you get nothing but great V8 sounds at all speeds and you don't get those annoying AFM noises while cruising.

So, completely tuning AFM out, was your MPG difference significant? Also, what tuner are you guys recommending? Diablo?

remember that you have an aftermarket exhaust as well, that has a lot to do with the unpleasant sounds you've experienced with AFM.

The Predator or Trinity will allow you to disable AFM while improving the overall output of the vehicle. Check it out!

Predator tune. I lost about 2 MPG by turning off AFM.

I've ordered insulation for my trunk compartment on my A6 SS. One camaro5 member says it helps eliminate the DROAN when the engine drops into 4 cyl mode. It's worth a try and will not affect the warranty.
