He's looking for a fast car. The ss has way more kits out for it that will get you well beyond the power of a cts-v. The ss has the been I brake package and are very much capable of stopping the car.. As for the magnetic ride suspension you can't really replace that but the guy isn't doing hardcore track events, if he wants it just throw hotchkis racing parts on the car and call it a day. Definitely not a better looker. Very comfortable interior but the camaro does have a nice interior.

It is posted in for sale section here and I am looking for power and luxury. The v can make gobs of power with minor bolt ons with a better interior and exterior. IMO. It's an upgrade and at 31 I feel it's a decen move for me. I like the sedans as well and have my eye on one of those with 6 speed and recaro's.
Thanks for the help and feed back guys.

Anybody ever trade in a modded car. Cam etc

There's something to be said for factory, reliable, warrantied horsepower. Throwing a blower on an SS isn't always very reliable. The v's brakes are bigger than the ss and magnetic suspension isn't for hardcore racing. Provides a comfortable ride as well as handling best of both worlds. And again looks are subjective. I still think the v is better looking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The wagons are sweet but I have no need for a wagon. It sure beats a minivan

Like a few have said, you'll get a few bucks less on trade in. I've traded in 2 GTO's that were modded and came out pretty well. All depends on your dealer. I have been lucky enough to work with some great dealerships here. When I traded my '06 goat for the Camaro, my salesman had a buyer within a week. Lol, it also helps to be a GM frequent buyer. Good luck.

"Most" dealers mods get you nothing. when modding a car you have to remember you are paying to personalize to your style and taste.
on the flip side they will most likely mark it up and try and get more with the mods. |

I personally love the last gen CTS-V's and the new gen. There are only 2 cars I would willingly accept a trade for brand new for my Camaro, CTS-V and Corvette Stingray Z06. My Camaro is only worth half their pricetag though, if not less
As stated, you won't get much of or any benefit from a modded car at a dealer. Best bet would be to sell it someone privately who is interested but sounds like you didn't have much luck. Hope your luck turns around!
