Has anyone felt the stock shifter in an LS3 car?

I want to know if it felt solid or not. After the atrocity GM put in my GTO, I'd hope they did a better job with the Camaro. The thing with the GTO was that the engine was actually placed in the engine bay, unlike the 4th gen where the back of the motor was nestled in the firewall, allowing GM to run a direct shifter.

I imagine that the corvette with the LS3 and TR6060 will feel about the same. However you can get a short throw shifter as an option.

Impossible. Trans is in the back in the C6.

Iv'e driven an LS3 vette and the shifter felt pretty solid

This was the IVER, mind you....

I can't compare it well to the GTO...being that I've never been in one . But the shifter felt pretty solid to me. No wiggling around -- just smoothly from gear to gear...

was the car on when trying reverse? would the reverse lockout module affect that?

i know when i put the T-56 in my thirdgen it was a bitch,but then i took that module off and a blockoff plate on and it wasnt so bad after that.
