Regrets

I was reading another thread in another forum and a couple guys mentioned that after they added mods, such as lt's, they were somewhat afraid to drive their car hard due to the warranty issue. my question is, for those of you that have put long tube headers on and have tuned your car do you regret doing so?

i miss driving my car everyday, i like to keep the miles low and also the warranty is voided. when you do mods like mine you have to realize that you will have to pay to get something fixed.

no regrets here!! You pay to play but we dont all just build shit so it will mess up. Everyone wants it to last many thousands of miles and you hope if things do break that its spaced out to where it dont set you back to much!

No regrets at all. Give me a camaro with headers and tune or nothing. My car is 1 year old and I just made 3100 miles. I'd probably be more concerned with warranty if it was an everyday driver.

I am doing full bolt-ons with no tune. I get 90% of the fun with 50% of the risk.

Long tube headers and a tune is one of the best mods to do, I have no regrets at all and I can't wait to do more mods.

I'd say the tune is 90 percent fun on an automatic. Until you hear your tires chirp when you punch it at 45mph it aint fun at all. Bolt ons alone will not give you that but a good tune with shift points optimized will. If you have a manual, that's a different story.

Don't regret mine. Then again my car hasn't had any issues to go back to the dealer since I've had it. 6k miles with no problems.

BTW: just because you have LTs and a tune doesn't automatically guarantee your drivetrain warranty will be voided. I could re-type the info but it's long winded and there is plenty of posts out there if you do a search.l

Regret ?

If you have any regrets dont do it.

You Pay to Play.

I waited until 2K miles until I installed my Longtubes , Xpipe setup , Mufflers and CAI and Tune.

I'm in the same boat as Caverman up above and we both bought our cars just a few days apart.

Break it in nicely and then install those longtubes and have a good quality tune put on it and Enjoy.

I'm considering LTs and a tune eventually. Just ordered the Solo HF cats for now.

For those of you installing exhaust but NO TUNE the only warranty that you are losing is your exhaust warranty.

So you and Caverman both have the same car bought at the same time and the same mods and both have nice looking '69s. Interesting.
