Lifting a Trailblazer

I was helping my friend compress the springs for his new shocks for the lift kit he is putting. He had 2 spring compressors on it, and i was tightening one down with the impact gun when it decided to let go. He is short on cash and really doesn't want to bring the springs to a shop and have them compress them even though I think that is his best and maybe only option right now.

I figured i would ask, if he has any other options other than having a shop put the spring and shock assembly together for him?

I'd have someone with the correct special tool do it. It has three arms that come out into the springs, and you have to cover those arms with heater hose to prevent chipping the coating on the springs. If the coating is damaged on those springs, they are a throw away.

Surely you could find someone on a forum (from CT) that can help. Just take a look around.
