I hate these kind of posts, but here I go.
Has anyone used Shell products other than Rotella?
Specifically the Donax/Spirax ATF.
Been researching the Shell products and really like what I am seeing. The hardest part is finding them. Yes, I can find the motor oil everywhere, but finding the ATF is impossible (unless I want to buy in bulk)....and all I need is 4qts. I have found in checking at least 6 local Shell stations, that none carry their ATF. Hell, for that matter, they barely stock their own oil.

Just an update. Finally purchased and filled the tranny with the Shell Spirax S3 MD3 atf. Stuff is hard to find. Had to buy a case online. But well worth it. It can be bought for as little as $3.25 qt. It seems to be a favorite in marine applications.
Anyhow, after a few days of driving, this stuff is good, shifting is smooth as silk. The factory fill was in great shape, very clean (11,000 mi)
So, for those of you, like me, who want an excellent alternative to all the synthetic stuff that you are constantly bombarded with, I would highly recommend this for all your Dexron III applications.
