i wanted to say a personal thanks for your sacrifice as i was once there too.
i went in the Army in 1989 and a little over a year later i was deployed to the God forsaken land of Saudi Arabia. I stayed about 8 months and it was the longest time, and back then there was no internet to have, and we did not have great communication back to the states. With that being said, i served and i am proud to have done it. The car you have coming will be awesome and i wished that you didn't have to wait for your loved one to come home.
Hang in there.

Sorry to hear.
Thank you both for your service to our country!
If anyone deserves to have a Camaro, it's someone serving this great country so that we all may have one as well... if that made sense?...

I am currently deployed in Iraq. I dont think I could be married and do the whole long distance thing in the military but good on you!!! hopefully you get to enjoy it a little together before she leaves again.

Look at the positive side of things. 6th months goes by pretty quick as I have already been over here for 6. While she is deployed your income is a lil higher there for helping to pay off your soon to be new SS. Good luck with everything and look at the bright side

Tell her we are proud of her and wish her a speedy return. You'd better take care of her new baby while she's gone!

Gotta love the whole "short notice" thing.

In January, 2008, I was told I was going to do a float in July instead of going to Iraq in six days with my unit. A week later, exactly one day after my unit left, I was on a bus headed to an Air Force base to catch a flight out. My wife wasn't too happy about that.

Good luck to both of you.

Tell her we said "Thanks for serving and wish her a safe return home" so she can enjoy the Camaro when she gets out. It will be all broke in so she can open it up as soon as you pick her up.

The bad news......my wife got the call this morning from her Captain that she will be leaving July 6th to deploy again for 6 months to a year. As if it is not bad enough she is leaving me again, we dont get to enjoy the Camaro process together. We had planned a big road trip and everything. Although we are very proud to be a military family and serve this great country, it is still sad for us. Thanks to all who serve, those that served, and their families. Im still excited for the car, but it is deflated a little for now until she comes back to me safe.
We were in the same boat here - hubby wasn't supposed to leave until October, but left about a month ago. Guess he will have to see the car when he comes home on R&R! I feel your pain, but hang in there - support is all around you!!!

Goodspeed and thanks. At least it will be broken in when she gets home. She won't have to baby it at all. All the best of luck to you.
