I'm not trying to troll but rather find an understanding. Why is it that every time that a 5th gen Camaro is brought up on any type of social media (Facebook, YouTube, other forums, twitter etc) everyone dogs the 5th gen?? Even the ZL1 is a "slow ugly POS".

I just don't get it. These cars are beautiful. Better than any Camaro ever was including performance and looks (IMO). Quite honestly who can talk down about a factory 30k car that runs high 12s?

I can't click or find a single picture outside this forum without someone bad mouthing it. Yet people love the ugly 4th & 3rd gens and horrendous new 5.0s...

Is it because it's a new car? Is it because the corvette is Chevys flagship? Am I biased? Does this kind of thing happen every time a newer car comes out kind of like age before beauty? I just don't get it.

Major props to Chevy and the 5th gen Camaro, because we see it for what it truly is, a beautiful, affordable beast of a car.

In the real world on the street I've gotten only complements.

And check your rear view mirror. EVERYONE keeps looking. It is like an addiction, they can't stop watching the car!

the people you hear making coment on most any new car. are driving a 12 year old civic and are mad because you are successful and have the means to buy something their worthless self cannot.

And they have the blessing of the guys from the other side of the fence , so you better get used to it
It's a common reaction from the establishment to get down and dirty when something comes along and in their mind's , rightful or not is posing a threat to their supposedly superiority

I post pictures asking about how my wheels look (black ss wheels) and all I get is people calling it a queers car? Where are real car enthusiasts? This is an amazing car and an advancement in technology...

I don't understand the hate. The Camaro is one of the most attractive cars built today. Usually the comments come from jealous people, or people that have Mustangs and bash Camaros for no reason other than it isn't a Mustang. And some Camaro owners do the same with Mustangs.

On the other hand, compared to a 67-68, the new Camaro is nowhere near as sleek. It looks chunky and not as well proportioned. The same applies with the Challenger and Mustang comparing new to '60's - '70's models.

I have gotten more negative comments on here than anywhere else. In fact I have only gotten two negative comments and those were on another forum and that was a forum made up of mostly people of the mini trucking persuasion.
