What is "matte black vinyl treatment"?

I saw this on Ebay and the seller advertised it has a "Matte Black Vinyl treatment". To me it just looks like flat black paint, or satin black? Anyway, I think it looks badass, but if it's that spray stuff I've heard about I'd rather just have it painted.

Anyone ever had done, or seen Camaros with flat or satin black? I love black cars, but I had a black Saleen S281, and after a short time it started looking shoddy in bright sunlight. Going flat or satin black might be a good alternative.

It exactly what the seller describes. The car is covered in a matte black vinyl. Basically a very big vinyl sticker. Similar to the rally stripes, but a whole lot bigger.

going with vinyl doesn't meke any less scratch or fade resistant then paint.

You'll want to be meticulous with detailing it. Good thing with vinyl is a lot of dressings are wipe on wipe off and can make faded wraps look new.

It just means that it's a wrap. It can be peeled off later on if you want to go back. I'm honestly thinking of getting my DD (not a Camaro) wrapped in something to prevent rock chips.

Wow, that's awesome. I didn't know this was done with wraps. What's a ballpark figure on cost for having something like this done?
