Blown...head on over to home depot.

They actually carry two of em that do the job very well. The Ridged 18 V lithium is a good choice. Problem is that they are not cheap by themselves and unless you need the 449 kit the value does not seem there. You might consider a power inverter then use your corded electric one if you have one. plus you would have juice for other items such as shop vac, tv, radio, blender for margarittas at shows etc. Larry

And if $$$ is an issue, Harbor Freight will have one. Which is my choice for swapping wheels in the mud on our Jeep in the past. They're cheap so if it shits the bed, you don't feel bad...

Mac Tools has $60 coupon on their web site for one of theirs. I am not sure what the final price is.

money isnt a huge issue.....i do want something reliable. I believe in spending good money for good tools without spending too much for just a name! I will use it around the garage as well as to Take to Moab a couple times a year for trail fixxes and tire changes. I like craftsman stuff (let the flaming begin)

I personally have a Snap-On 1/2" drive cordless impact. I spent about $550 a year ago, and it's probably one of the best tools I've invested in. It was a little pricey, but get's the job done very easily.

I have a Milwaukee 18 volt here at work and I love it. Lots of power and long battery life. I have never tried it for lug nuts though.

Most of the Craftsman tools are made by Ryobi. I worked in their Tool department for almost 8 years.

My question to you though is why not get a compressor with an impact gun? Or an electric one if you don't want a compressor?

I already have an air compressor and all the toys....just need a portable one to use on the trails or wherever I may go

Ridgid or DeWalt kick ass. I have abused the hell out of both brands and they just take it and ask for another!

(Oh yeah and stick with 18V)
