daveagogo1 , First of all your car wont get great mileage till you log bout 5000 miles and get the car good and broke in.. I do a lot of hwy drivin and found that the sweet spot for mileage is between 68 and 73. In town about 16, but dont check that much because im in it a lot..Like everyone else i did not buy the car for the economy side, i bought the car for the power and in the end really dont care all that much bout gas mileage !!! I really just messed with my speeds just to see how good of mileage this car can get OH yeah it is bone stock ..

I'd love to get 16.9. With 90% city driving, I got 12.8 on the last tank. I have the M6 though...

All we have is GMPP exhaust. We drive about 50/50 highway city.
We get 19.5 mph. Two trips so far and we got 28.7 mph

I baby it most times but everyonce in a while lay into the throttle.

After owning 2 straight LS1's, a LS2 and currently a L99 I can assure you fuel mileage will improve between the 5-7K mark. My cars all ran smoother and seemed a bit more powerful upon full break in as well as attaining better overall fuel economy.

I have 16,500 miles on my L99. I do about 85% highway at 65-70, with some on ramp burst. And my average speed is 44 mph. This is a good indicator of highway vs city miles. I did average 22 mpg, checked when I fill up, and the DIC's mpg is also pretty close. I recently added a CAI and after 3 tanks I am averaging 23 mpg. I ordered a Vmax throttle body and I'm hoping for the same results as Scott.

But when I go to the track, its a whole different story.

yea but you have to remember, when the EPA tested the car for gas mileage...they babied it.

Me you and everyone else on this site, drives the car for what its made for! haha

Seems to me I averarge 17mpg in town and when on the highway I get around 24mpg. This is way better than my 2500 Ram w/ 35" tires so I consider myself lucky when I get to drive the car (it's been 3 months since I parked it for winter).

Highway MPG will depend on the speeds you drive. If you have 70 mph speed limits and you drive 80 mph then your mileage won't be as good as expected.

When my L99 A6 was stock it got around 26-28 mpg on the highway. Now that it is modded and AFM deleted, its getting around 22 mpg on the highway (75-80 mph).

In town aggressive driving has gone from about 15-16 mpg (stock) to around
14 mpg (modded with AFM deleted).

Agreed. Before fuse pull got around 15 mpg and then after 18 mpg on my L99 with city driving. Good luck!
