Tail light black chrome bezels!

Well took me 2 days of work(drying time takes awhile), but I made my tail light bezels look like black chrome! It looks amazing, at least I think so ^.^

I can do a write-up if anyone wants to tackle this. It's pretty easy, just the outside ones were alittle tough to get to one of the tabs. No broken pieces tho thanks to my feeler gauges ^.~

BTW you can make it light or dark, depending on the coats you apply!

-- next task, tackling the camaro lettering!

Wow! I've seen that stuff before... wasn't sure how it would look. Great job.

Man, I tried the exact same thing this weekend. End result was I ended up finishing it off with two coats of black paint to cover up my busted black chrome attempt. You definitely did a better job than I did. For those interested Advanced Auto Parts had/has these on sale for $19 a box (about half of what you can find it for online). I'm curious what you did differently.

Ya i got mine at pep boys for 16.99 i believe. I didn't feel like paying 160 bucks for the same thing on ebay, when i could do it myself, and use paint stripper to get it off if i happen to mess up. lol.

I'll try and do a write-up today or tomorrow. Mines not perfect tho =( if you stare at it, on the bigger bottom section of 2 of them, you can see where the shadow coat didn't set long enough from the "wet" application and it kinda ran when i sprayed the clear finish coat on. It's not bad, but I like perfection, lol. I still love the outcome tho! ^.^

Looks awesome. Mine is synergy green and I think the chrome bezels look bad. I just changed the front fender emblems to the 1968 emblems and it looks sweet for some reason your synergy green looks much darker than mine. Perhaps a different camera?

I'm using my Droid-X 8MP, no flash. It's been overcast with a little sun peaking through today. Finally rained around 6, lol.
