As i was driving home today i noticed that on my digital speedometer it said "Battery Saver Active." Is this something i should be worried about?

You might have a slow drain on your battery. Have you done any electrical work recently?

did a quick google search and found this...

"The battery saver light is activated when the PCM module detects low battery output or charging system output."

Sounds like you may want to have the battery and/or Alternator checked. This is straight out of the owners manual....

Battery Voltage and
Charging Messages
BATTERY SAVER ACTIVE
This message displays when
the vehicle has detected that the
battery voltage is dropping beyond
a reasonable point. The battery
saver system starts reducing certain
features of the vehicle that you may
be able to notice. At the point that
features are disabled, this message
is displayed. It means that the
vehicle is trying to save the charge
in the battery. Turn off unnecessary
accessories to allow the battery to
recharge.
