he IS top gear. period plain and simple. Reason US top gear sucks ball sack, No Clarkson or similar.

All the reading ive done, seems liek their contracts were up this season. So was probbaly the last for the show anyway. So a long day + short timers disease = him not giving two shits.

Wait. Didn't Clarkson have a large stake in the series early on? Seem to remember reading about him getting a lot of stock in the show early on as payment then the show became wildly popular and he became very wealthy. Seems like it'd be hard to give him the axe if that is the case tho

Yes...story as I understand it was Clarkson was kissing a woman other than his wife, Morgan was going to report on it. Clarkson talked to Morgan, said hold on, this is platonic, you're in the wrong, Morgan says "ok", no story.

Then Clarkson did it again, same woman, Morgan reported on it. Now, what I don't get is if you buy the story the first time, what about the second time makes it wrong? Not that I believe Clarkson in this case.

Anyway, story comes out, Clarkson seeks out Morgan again, and pokes him in the nose. Delicious.

The Kicker: Morgan himself was reportedly having an affair at the time.

Cool, I didn't know that. I assumed it was further out due to seeing footage on Youtube in the past and waiting weeks to even months to see it on BBCAmerica.

Being already said....

I wasn't a big fan of Top Gear until recently...say 2 years ago.

From my perspective, Clarkson brings that edge to the show that is 85% the reason I watch. Is he a dick? Yes. Is he harsh? Yes! Is he direct, honest....raw? Absolutely!

Clarkson is the reason WHY we watch! Without him...that show would be piss poor boring period.

The BBC knows (or should know) Clarkson is the main draw. He won't be gone long...part publicity..part punishment..

It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?
